Our Story
Origami Elephant Creations was founded in September 2020 in a small town in the heart of Hampshire, UK. After collectively racking up 28 years of teaching in secondary schools, the co founders of Origami Elephant decided to take the leap out of the education sector and into business, creating handmade, bespoke gifts for all.

2019/20 was a very difficult time for us. After losing my father very suddenly in September 2019, in January 2020 at the age of 1, our Welsh Terrier puppy, Murphy became seriously ill having developed meningitis and required 24/7 care. After a year of chemotherapy, and our constant love & care, Murphy is now doing well. Origami Elephant Creations, has enabled us to support my mum, family & each other following the loss of my dad and care for Murphy through his illness and treatment.

Our mission is to produce handmade, personalised gifts to the highest quality whilst being affordable for everyone to enjoy. We include you, the customer, in the design process from start to finish making our service truly personalised. We are always looking at how we can produce new and exciting gifts and welcome any ideas you have that you may want produced as a one off.
Meet the team
Jo - Having qualified as a Secondary Design & Technology teacher in July 2000, I embarked on a 21 year career in Secondary Education. My mission was to help young people who struggled in traditional, mainstream education, trying to engage them in alternative educational options within the trade industry, apprenticeships, work placements etc. I came away from teaching after my father passed away and after education sadly stopped being child focussed.
I am very passionate about everything I do. I put everything I have into every order that I make. All items are made to order and communication between us and customer is of paramount importance to ensure they get the best quality products each time.
I was lucky enough to have the support of a few key people in my life at the time of starting this business. Getting assistance on social media networking, connecting with corporate clients, and most of the companies I work with today are in place due to their diligence and persistence in contacting them, and showcasing our products.
My world
Murphy (Left, 4yrs 10 months) & Marley (Right, 3yrs 1 month) are my wonderful fur babies and the inspiration and testers for many of my products.
